From cryogenic chill to heat-treating furnaces, these bearings endure it all. Made to glide in temperatures from -400° to 750° F, they support shafts in conditions that seize or destroy other bearings. With graphite lubricant that never degrades, they require little to no maintenance. With no moving parts, sleeve bearings stand up to dusty, dirty conditions better than ball bearings. However, with more friction generated, they're less effective at high speeds. The sturdy housing bolts down to support shafts as they turn. Powder - Coated Cast Iron Housing — A rugged iron base coated in thick powder that protects against water, mild detergents, and oil. However, if the coating is scratched or chipped, the underlying iron may rust. Misalignment Capability — Bearings compensate for as much shaft misalignment as the degree listed. This extends the life of the bearing and protects against wear if shafts are slightly askew.
