| Product Description | Smoother than smooth— the balls inside these bearings roll nearly friction- free. The sturdy housing supports the shaft and secures with a two-bolt flange, the most common type of flanged bearing. Lubricate regularly to keep your bearing in tip-top shape. Bearings with seals and shields keep lubricants in and contaminants out, and come packed with grease. Open bearings require initial lubrication and offer less protection against dust and debris. PEEK Housing — PEEK resists harsh chemicals and won’t melt or deform at high temperatures. These housings are highly wear- resistant, but they may crack or dent from hard impacts and vibrations. Press Fit — For a tight connection to the shaft, install with a press or by heating and then cooling the bearing. Also known as an interference fit. |
