Lubricate regularly to keep your bearing in tip-top shape, including upon installation. Seals hold lubricant in while keeping dust and contaminants out. Powder - Coated Cast Iron Housing — A rugged iron base coated in thick powder that protects against water, mild detergents, and oil. However, if the coating is scratched or chipped, the underlying iron may rust. For Combined Radial and Thrust Loads — Secure shafts in place and absorb the thrust load.
